In the few weeks since the last post, we’ve been pressing on with interior finish work: plaster, floors, stairs, doors, and accessories. The metal stair rails for the rear stairs arrived last week and were installed quickly, and now wait for their handrails. More of the wood flooring is down, and a few weeks ago our tile mason installed the basement floor tile. And it was very exciting to see the barn doors arrive and get installed. They really make the spaces feel complete!
Our glass subcontractor also came in and installed the glass walls on two sides of the exercise room in the basement – a great feature which lets light into the rest of the basement and makes the room feel more spacious.
Tons of other things are happening too… vanities being delivered and installed, touch-up painting and plastering, and lighting up and testing the fireplaces. All moving towards finishing the home by early March.
