VOTE for LEED Project of the Year!

I’m excited to announce that 346 Highland is a finalist for the 2020 LEED Homes Awards Project of the Year! The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is celebrating the best of green homes and are letting the public decide who gets the top honor. So, we need your help! Vote for 346 Highland now through June 29. The Project of the Year and other LEED Homes Awards recipients will be announced next month. Learn about the entries here and then Cast your vote here!

Green homes provide healthy, sustainable living spaces where people and the planet thrive. USGBC’s LEED green building program sets the standard for what it means to be a green home and certification is a signal that the home meets the highest sustainability standards.

346 Highland is unique in having achieved not just LEED Platinum® certification, but also ENERGY STAR®, EPA Indoor airPLUS, and DOE Zero Energy Ready Home certifications.  An extensive above-code insulation package, detailed air sealing (<0.5 ACH50), efficient appliances, heat pump water heaters and clothes dryers, and a 14.7 kW solar PV array allow the home to operate on a small fraction of the energy typical for a home of this size.  Extensive use of low-VOC and low-formaldehyde materials throughout the home’s interior, three separate Energy Recovery Ventilator systems with high-efficiency filters, and meticulous installation and commissioning of a 10-zone air source heat pump system highlight the home’s dedication to healthy living.

It’s a great honor to have been selected as one of 10 finalists worldwide for Project of the Year.  Please help us reach the top and VOTE!
