A few weeks ago we hosted a tour for program administrators and utility representatives from MassSave. MassSave is a collaborative of Massachusetts’ natural gas and electric utilities and energy efficiency service providers, including Berkshire Gas, Blackstone Gas Company, Cape Light Compact, Columbia Gas of Massachusetts, Eversource, Liberty Utilities, National Grid and Unitil. They empower residents, businesses, and communities to make energy efficient upgrades by offering a wide range of services, rebates, incentives, trainings, and information. The Highland project is participating in some of MassSave’s construction rebate programs, and so about a dozen representatives came out to see what kinds of energy improvements we’re making in this gut renovation. It was great to have them out and we came away with some good ideas for an even tighter and more efficient house! If you own an old home, or are building a new one, in Massachusetts, you owe it to yourself to check out their many different rebate, weatherization, and financing programs.
